Illinois has its fair share of unguarded railroad crossings all over the state. While, typically, motorists and pedestrians are able to cross without incident, on occasion, a train accident does occur. It is understandable for those who have been negatively affected by such an event to not only question the circumstances surrounding the incident, but also to wonder who may be considered liable as well.
