Police investigations can sometimes take a considerable amount of time before they can be completed. In many situations, officers must gather as much evidence and information as they can about an accident before they can draw conclusions. Pedestrian accidents may need to be reconstructed in order for authorities to gain a clearer idea on what happened and whether charges may need to be filed.
