Serious injuries result from car accident in Illinois

ofA recent report stated that a serious accident occurred in Illinois that resulted in multiple parties being transported to the hospital. The car accident involved three vehicles, and two of those vehicles were heading north while the other was heading south. One of the northbound vehicles slowed down due to traffic, and the vehicle behind the first swerved to avoid a collision.
That driver and the driver of the southbound vehicle both suffered serious injuries and were transported from the scene. A toddler that was also in the second vehicle was reported as having suffered serious injuries as well. The driver of the first vehicle was injured, but his injuries were not considered to be incapacitating.
Due to the serious injuries resulting from this car accident, it could be possible for civil claims to result. The driver of the southbound vehicle may wish to pursue compensation for the injuries suffered and other damages resulting from the crash. By filing such a claim against the driver considered at fault, that individual may be able to seek restitution for medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages permitted under Illinois law.
