Improper lane usage leads to fatal car accident in Illinois

ofVehicles that do not maintain the proper lane pose a considerable threat to other drivers on the roadways. A vehicle can come seemingly out of nowhere and cause a serious accident that could potentially result in the deaths of those parties involved. A serious car accident such as this occurs very often and can be considered very unfortunate.
Such an unfortunate accident took place in Illinois recently that resulted in one fatality. Reports indicate that a vehicle with two occupants was traveling an unknown direction when an SUV moving the opposite direction crossed into the incorrect lane. As a result, the two vehicles collided. Further information on the factors of the accident was not available in the report.
The crash resulted in serious and fatal injuries for those individuals involved. The driver of the first vehicle was declared dead on site, and his wife, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was taken from the scene for treatment of injuries. The driver of the SUV was also transported to an area hospital, but his injuries were not considered to be life threatening. After the accident, the SUV driver received citations for improper lane usage and one other infraction.
The wife of the victim will likely feel much devastation due to losing her husband so suddenly. She will not only need to contend with focusing on her own recovery from the injuries she suffered in the car accident, but she will also be faced with the burden of paying for medical expenses as well as those associated with the funeral arrangements for her husband. Because such situations can create an exceedingly stressful financial situation, she may wish to pursue a wrongful death claim in Illinois that could potentially allow her to receive reimbursement for her loss and other damages.
