Car accident in Illinois results in injuries

ofIn certain traffic areas, there may be a higher risk of an accident taking place than in other areas. Intersections are often considered high risk areas because there are several factors that must be taken into account when attempting to travel through an intersection. Unfortunately, there are many instances in which a car accident has resulted in serious injuries with an intersection being the scene of the event.
A similar situation recently took place in Illinois when two vehicles collided. Details on the event were few, but a photo from the scene showed a vehicle that appeared to have been hit on the passenger side. The accident took place approximately a quarter after noon.
It was mentioned that both drivers involved were transported to an area hospital. It was also reported that at least one of the drivers suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident. It has been requested that a traffic light be installed at that particular intersection because other accidents have taken place there as well, but the Illinois Department of Transportation does not consider the intersection to be in need of one.
A car accident with injuries is an unfortunate situation to be found in. Serious injuries can lead to considerable setbacks dealing with time spent recovering as well as the cost of medical bills and time away from work. Therefore if the other driver is considered responsible for the accident, the seriously injured party may wish to file a personal injury claim against that driver in order to seek compensation for damages permitted under Illinois law.
