Construction worker dies in bulldozer accident

Construction accidents can be a very serious type of workplace accident. Such accidents can sometimes even result in a construction worker’s death. This can be seen in a construction accident that recently occurred in a neighboring state.

The accident happened last Tuesday at a construction site in Davenport, Iowa. The construction site is the site of a planned hotel and retail complex.

Reportedly, that morning, a 56-year-old construction worker was operating a bulldozer at the site. The man reportedly was using the bulldozer to grade an embankment. Reportedly, as the man was doing this, the embankment gave way. This reportedly caused the bulldozer to fall over, which in turned caused the man to become trapped underneath the bulldozer.

According to the article on the Quad-City Times’ website which reported this story, the 56-year-old man died as a result of this accident.

Authorities reportedly are still in the process of investigating this construction accident.

As this tragic incident illustrates, construction accidents can sometimes have fatal results.
