Injuries result from car accident involving a tractor in Illinois
On behalf of Frederick & Hagle posted in Car Accidents on Wednesday, November 18, 2015.
ofAccidents on roadways can have devastating results for the individuals involved. A recent car accident in Illinois caused serious injuries when a tractor pulling a trailer was hit by an SUV. Reports indicated that both vehicles were traveling west when the incident took place. Only one of the parties was seriously injured.
Apparently, the SUV was behind the tractor when the driver crashed into the trailer being pulled. The collision caused the trailer to detach from the tractor and travel to the side of the road. The tractor traveled off the roadway and into the median. It continued traveling and ended up in the eastbound lanes of the highway. It does not appear that any vehicles in the eastbound lanes were involved in the incident.
The driver of the tractor was ejected after the collision, and he suffered severe injuries. It was reported that he was 34 years old. He was transported from the scene by an emergency helicopter and was considered to be in critical condition. The driver of the SUV was treated for injuries, but those injuries were considered minor. That individual was reported as being 29 years old, and he received a citation as an outcome of the crash.
As the injured man works to recover from his injuries, he may wish to consider his options for seeking compensation for those injuries. Filing a personal injury claim against the driver considered at fault may be an avenue about which he would like to learn more. Such a claim could assist him in seeking compensation for damages resulting from the Illinois car accident.
