Car accident in Illinois claims life of university student

Though some individuals may opt for public transportation to get to their destinations rather than driving themselves, they could still be at risk of being involved in a serious accident. It was recently reported that a car accident in Illinois involved a bus carrying multiple passengers. One of those passengers did not survive the incident.
According to reports, a pickup truck veered in front of the bus, which led to the bus driver taking action to avoid a collision. However, the action caused the bus driver to lose control and crash into a construction sign. The bus was apparently traveling under the speed limit at the time of the crash, which took place at approximately 6:30 a.m. There were 33 passengers on the bus.
A 22-year-old female passenger on the bus suffered fatal injuries. She was reported as being a University of Iowa student and had been headed to Chicago. Four other individuals were also injured, but their injuries were not considered life threatening. The accident was still under investigation at the time of the report, and the bus company was reported as being cooperative.
The family of the deceased passenger may wish to consider their legal options as a result of the Illinois car accident. Due to the monetary damages that may result from the incident, a wrongful death claim could help them pursue compensation.
