Truck accident leaves Illinois man with serious injuries
On behalf of Frederick & Hagle posted in Truck Accidents on Friday, June 10, 2016.
ofA serious crash recently took place Illinois involving a car and a semi-truck. The truck accident occurred when the semi moved into the path of the car. During the initial investigation, authorities thought the car may have driven into the path of the semi-truck, but the car driver and witnesses to the crash stated otherwise. The collision caused the car to spin further in front of the truck, and the passenger side of the car was crushed.
After the initial collision, both the car and the truck left the roadway. They crashed through a guardrail before traveling down an embankment. The semi-truck flipped, and the cab of the truck ended up in the front yard of a residence. The drivers of the vehicles were apparently the only individuals inside.
The car driver had to be extracted from the vehicle, and he was transported from the scene by ambulance with serious injuries. The truck driver was reported as having suffered only minor injuries, but he was also transported from the scene. It was noted that the truck driver apparently did not remember the accident. Authorities will likely continue to investigate.
Due to his serious injuries, the car driver may have many difficulties to contend with in the aftermath of the truck accident. It is likely that financial issues due to medical bills could result as well as physical and emotional pain because of his injuries. Therefore, he may want to consider filing a person injury claim against the driver considered at fault in order to seek compensation for those damages and others permitted under Illinois law.
